The Miracle (56E) occurrence is located on the north side of Gavin Lake, at an elevation of approximately 1100 metres.

Regionally, the area is within the central Quesnel Belt, near the western contact of Upper Triassic basalt and underlying sedimentary rocks. This assemblage forms part of the Triassic to Jurassic Nicola Group of south central British Columbia.

Locally, the sedimentary rocks and intercalated basaltic breccia have been intruded by a number of pyritic, clay altered, porphyritic, quartz monzonite dikes of the Middle Jurassic Ste. Marie Plutonic Suite (Gavin stock) along an east-west oriented zone over a distance of approximately 3 kilometres. The quartz monzonite is later reported as peraluminous granite, as indicated from whole rock analysis (Assessment Report 35395).

Adjacent to intrusive contacts, the sedimentary rocks have been variably hornfelsed and metasomatized (mainly chlorite-pyrite). Quartz and quartz-potassium feldspar veins cutting both sediments and dikes locally contain chalcopyrite and molybdenite mineralization. Very minor galena, sphalerite, bornite, gold and silver occur in some veins, while disseminated pyrite with minor chalcopyrite occurs within some of the dikes.

In 1970, a select grab sample from a mineralized quartz vein (56E) assayed 18.5 grams per tonne gold, 100.9 grams per tonne silver, 0.33 per cent copper and 0.30 per cent lead (Assessment Report 2733).

A selected grab sample, taken in 1978 from a quartz vein containing galena, assayed 18.5112 grams per tonne gold and 101.126 grams per tonne silver (George Cross Newsletter #118, 1978).

In 1984, select grab samples of mineralized vein material assayed up to 68.4 grams per tonne silver, while a chip sample across the vein averaged 0.14 gram per tonne gold and 20.5 grams per tonne silver over 1.0 metre. At this time, the best values were found to occur in the pyritic hornfelsed sediments adjacent to the veins, with samples yielding up to 0.51 gram per tonne gold and 27.4 grams per tonne silver over 4.0 metres, including 1.83 grams per tonne gold over 0.6 metre (Assessment Report 12693).

In 2010, a diamond drill hole (M10-6) intercepted two mineralized intervals, which returned 28.1 grams per tonne silver with 0.134 per cent lead from 86 to 88 metres and 17.7 grams per tonne silver with 0.071 per cent lead from 158 to 162 metres (Assessment Report 31797).

During 1968 through 1970, Amax Explorations completed programs of rock, silt and soil sampling, test pitting, geological mapping and an 82.9 line-kilometre ground magnetometer survey the area as the Gavin and Wet claims. In 1979, St. Elias Exploration completed a program of soil sampling and 6.7 line-kilometres of combined induced polarization and resistivity surveys on the area. Also, in the early to mid-1970's, an area east of Gavin Lake was explored and tested for placer gold potential. In 1984, Brican Resources completed a program of rock and soil sampling and geological mapping. During 2010 through 2015, Eagle Peak Resources completed programs of soil and rock sampling, geological mapping and nine diamond drill holes, totalling 980.6 metres, on the area as the Miracle property.
